Our candles are made to order, are hand poured and will take a minimum of 15 working days to make and shipping can take up to four working days.

Retail Orders (B2C)

We offer a flat rate shipping fee of R150.00 on all retail orders within South Africa. Enjoy free shipping on all orders over R2,500.00.

Wholesale Orders

Shipping for wholesale customers is calculated at 10% of the order total (excluding VAT) and is not charged at checkout. Once your order has been placed, we will issue a separate invoice for the applicable order amount + shipping.

Please note: Wholesale shipping costs will be communicated and invoiced after your order is confirmed with us.

Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)

In accordance with Section 44 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you may cancel your order within 7 days of receiving it. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Return shipping costs may apply unless the item is defective.

Standard Returns (30 Days)

We accept returns within 30 days, provided items are unused and in original condition, and proof of purchase is provided.

Defective Goods

All products include a 30-day implied warranty. If a product is defective, you may choose a replacement or store credit. This applies to all products, including sale and custom items.

Non-Returnable Items

Unless defective, we do not accept returns on custom or personalised items, rush order items, sale items, or gift cards.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days and will be issued via the original payment method.

Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged, notify us within 48 hours of delivery via email at info@etherealcandlecrafters.com and provide photographic evidence. We will assess and resolve the issue in line with CPA requirements.

How to Request a Return or Refund

All refund requests must be in writing via email only. Please contact us at info@etherealcandlecrafters.com. All returns must be sent to 257 Ibis Lane, Krugersdorp, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Many factors contribute to the burning rate of a candle. On average our 70mm large pillar candles have a burn time of +/- 34 hours. This is based on burning our candles for no longer than 4 hours at a time. 

Our candles are non-drip; however, all wax melts and we do recommend placing your candles on an appropriate holder designed for the particular candle to catch any melting wax. 

We do have a scented candle collection, yes. 

Our scented candle collection is made from soy wax and a natural wax hardener, and our standard candle collection is made of a blend of different paraffin waxes and natural hardeners.

Yes, we offer our candles at discounted wholesale prices to approved wholesale customers, subject to minimum order volumes. Apply for a wholesale account here.

Approved wholesale customers receive a 50% discount off retail prices. To qualify, you must first apply for an account here. Once your account is approved you will be able to order directly from our website - the B2B discount will be applied automatically after you login.*
